About the author
Since 1991, Zhang Su Li has worked as a copywriter in international advertising and interactive agencies that include Ogilvy & Mather, Saatchi & Saatchi, Lowe and Partners, BBDO, Arachnid Interactive, Naga DDB, Grey Direct Interactive, M&C Saatchi, Leo Burnett and Arc Worldwide. She has also taught Advertising Fundamentals and Strategy Planning at The One Academy of Communication Design, Malaysia.
Her advertising awards include the Golden Kancil 1998 for ‘Best of the best in Malaysian advertising’, Cannes Film Festival, New York Film Festival, London International Advertising Awards and Singapore Creative Circle.
Dissatisfied and frustrated with the amount of actual writing that a copywriter does, Su Li started writing short stories based on her travels.
A Backpack And A Bit Of Luck, a collection of short travel adventure stories, was published in 2007 by Marshall Cavendish. Her second publication, Sini Sana, an anthology by MPH Publications, was launched in May 2011.
Zhang Su Li also conducts creative writing workshops for ages 10 - 100.
